The Divine Comedy - Tonight We Fly
The Happy Goth by The Divine Comedy, 2004
So you lot, being on Tumblr, are probably aware of that one song that was used in “500 days of summer,” yknow, “There is a light that will never go out” i’m sure we can all agree its a great love song
well this favorite band of mine, a chamber pop band from Ireland called “The Divine Comedy” did a cover and its fucking beautiful
so yeah there’s that I guess
“This is the end! Cheers to you all, thanks for coming. Thanks a lot, this is called ‘Tonight We Fly.”
one of the most beautiful songs ever
over the dogs down below, they’ll bark at our shadows, as we float by on the breeze….
Absent Friends - The Divine Comedy
if you’re following me you should at least try listening to this group they’re amazing
“All good things must come to an end…and this is not it! Hooray!!”
Charmed Life - The Divine Comedy
“and when it’s over and i’m freezing on the nightbus home, i think of her and i sing the words to my favorite song, oh yeah”
I like this part of “At The Indie Disco” because it perfectly describes that feeling of having to take a ride or a walk home, alone, and it being perfectly okay and not boring at all because you just had a really good time with friends/a girl
:3
“and now we’re moving to the beat, and staring at each others feet, I wonder if she *fancies* me, yeah, at the indie disco..”
CUTEST LYRICS EVER
i never knew a chamber/baroque pop band from northern ireland could perfectly describe how I feel about love with EVERY SONG but life is full of surprises
